Japanese Garden

One of Portland's jewels is the Japanese Garden, located in the west hills above the Rose Garden and below the Arboretum, not far from the Portland Zoo. It is a wonderful place (and time) to exercise my fascination with leafless trees, and I've been over there a couple of times in the last week or two, working on my technique under different lighting conditions. In a few weeks I plan to attend a photography tutorial sponsored by the Garden, and hope to learn much more.
These images are of the entrance area to the Garden, all shot with the 14mm.

The Garden overlooks downtown Portland, with Oregon's iconic Mount Hood looming from the horizon.
