The next morning we made our way up north of Oak Harbor to our destination, which is perched on a hill overlooking a portion of Skagit Bay. Here the good doctor demonstrates the view north from their main windows and deck area.
And this is what one sees looking north.
The house is a wonderland of treasures, and Lara and Ewan lost no time inspecting everything. Our hostess gave the ram to Lara, who named him Betty in her honor. So we now have a ram named Betty.
After a lovely meal, we sat some more and conversed, including this Viking who turned up.
As we were leaving our hosts allowed me to take a photograph of them. They made it clear that we must return, and stay at their house next time. We will.
