Silver Falls

We set off on a beautiful Saturday morning to go for a day hike at Silver Falls. We made our way to the North Falls, intending on a 2-3 mile stroll.

The trail goes under a layer of basalt and behind the falls, as at the south end, affording spectacular views of the water cascading before you.

We saw many moths during the walk. They mostly flutter and dart about, but from time to time they do land, allowing you to take a good look.
