After parting with the Wolfsons, we made our way towards Glencoe on the A82. We stopped in Luss, about halfway along Loch Lomond, for a potty break. So this is the venerable Loch Lomond. We took the high road, not realizing that from here on, the A82 would deteriorate quickly as it wound about the northern shores of the loch. There is a big press on in Scotland to have the A82 upgraded, and after travelling over this bit, it is easy to see why.

Ben Lomond, hidden in the clouds.

Here we are just about to enter Glencoe, having passed over Rannoch Moor. If you like bleak, as I do, this is the place for you. We had just passed by the Kings House Hotel, which is briefly glimpsed in Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Thirty Nine Steps'.
