Thanksgiving in Pendleton

These images are not intended to be representative of Pendleton--and they are not--but on a short walk through the countryside, Sally, Phil and I observed that country roads around here appear to serve as a dumping ground. You see all sorts of interesting (and sometimes disgusting) junk.
Every sign for miles around has been thoroughly murdered.
The landscape itself is beautiful, and rather bleak on a cloudy day.
