Ewan and I had trouble, ahem, keeping our hands off the merchandise, so we waited outside while Sally and Lara bought the place out. Such innocence on display here.

Quite an imposing structure. I wouldn't want to have been the poor chap charged with taking it.

We headed down the royal mile, for ice creams and other tourist pleasures.

This 'woad warrior' (get it?) knows how to make a buck. He caught Ewan's attention, but we steered clear.

Instead we went into the Royal Mile Armouries, where the Scottish equivalent of SCA and D&D freaks hang out. In the market for a katana or a claymore? These are your guys.

After that it was into a cab for the short ride back to our vehicle so we could hit the road. As we passed through the mall we picked up a collection of Knopfler tunes for £7, so we'd have something besides BBC to listen to on the long ride south.

A gratuituous photo of Sally as we made our way south out of Edinburgh. Got me into trouble.
